Programs designed to protect the United States and Canada by strengthening their border security. These are comprehensive public/private partnerships between the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the U.S. and the Customs Services Agency (CSA) in Canada, in which all participants of the supply chain are required to enhance their own security practices and those of their business partners in their supply chain. Those that meet or exceed the security standards set by CBP and CSA will be given expedited processing at ports of entry.

All participants will commit to:

  • Completing the Participation Agreement and Security Profile including:
    • A comprehensive assessment of your current conveyance security, physical, personnel and procedural security and education and training programs
    • Implementing a Security Plan to meet CBP & CSA security standards
  • Making efforts to ensure compliance by participants in the supply chain.

CBP & CSA require all importing companies to participate in these programs. Failure to do so could result in indefinite delays at the border. Benefits of participating include:
